The City

One of the most geographically isolated cities in the world, the sunny city of Perth is a unique blend of laid-back outdoor living with a twist of vibrant cosmopolitan energy. In a single day, you can head to one of the many stunning beaches along the west coast for a surf, head to the city centre to explore boutiques showcasing the best of Australian design, then wind down the day with a sundowner at one of the many award-winning vineyards in the Swan Valley region.

COMO The Treasury

Standing proudly in the heart of the city centre, COMO The Treasury is an effortlessly elegant luxury hotel housed within the State Buildings, which date back to the 19th century. Designed by Kerry Hill in contemporary style, the interiors are sleek and minimalist while maintaining the building’s history through the original high ceilings, cornicing and balconies. The stylishly decorated rooms will spoil you for space (they are enormous!) as will the incredibly comfortable super-king size beds. Attention to detail here is second to none and the staff will ensure that they tend to your every need and desire. A popular social hub for the city, the building also has two excellent restaurants, a bar, lounge, gym, indoor pool and library.

Mary Street Bakery

Located on bustling Beaufort Street in the trendy suburb of Mount Lawley, Mary Street Bakery is the perfect place if you’re looking for a delicious brunch in a friendly, laid-back environment. From sugar dusted ‘cruffins’ (that’s a hybrid of a croissant and a muffin), perfectly cooked bacon and egg rolls, and our personal favourite, the fried chicken with buttermilk pancakes, this is one brunch spot that never fails to hit the spot. Get in early on weekends to avoid being placed on the waiting list. But even if you are – it's well worth the wait!

The Serpentine National Park

Western Australia has no shortage of beautiful natural sights but unfortunately, many of them come at the expense of a long car journey. The Serpentine National Park, located on the Darling Scarp, is approximately 55 km out of the city centre and is an ideal destination for a day out among nature. Take a long relaxing bush walk, spot cockatoos and kookaburras while bird watching, and set up a classic Aussie barbecue before cooling down with a nice dip in the Serpentine Falls.
