The first capital of Paros, Lefkes is a green mountainous village in the centre of the island that is known for its winding narrow streets, neoclassical buildings and strong sense traditional culture that can be felt on every corner. With cars forbidden inside the village, it’s easy to get swept away to simpler times here as you wander the labyrinth of paths and hear the symphony of birds and cicadas coming from the verdurous surroundings. From the House of Literature to the Church of Agia Triada, there are many cultural institutions to discover here as well as colourful arts, crafts and jewellery stores that line Ramnos, the main street of Lefkes. One very special place that you’ll find here is Marina G. Triantafyllou’s studio. Having grown up in the village, the artist has a real affinity with Lefkes and translates this through the incredible artwork she makes predominately from marble. At her studio, you can watch as she works her magic, buy a piece to bring home with you or if you’d like to try your hand at the craft, our iMBARC booking team would be delighted to organise a carving workshop for you.
HEEL Athens Lab: A sustainable boutique showcasing clothing made from organic cotton and recycled materials using only ethical and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.
Gorgo La Meduse: A luxury fashion brand creating Cylcadic summer-inspired pieces using natural materials and fabrics.
Kapopoulos Fine Arts: A must-visit for all art lovers, this gallery and auction house showcases the very best local talent and aims to make art more accessible to all.
Santa Maria Beach: If you’re looking for a beach with big atmosphere, head to Santa Maria. Lined with trendy beach bars that serve cocktails straight to your sun lounger, this is one of the most vibrant beaches on the island.
Molos: For a peaceful beach experience, make your way to Molos. A local favourite, this beach doesn’t attract the same crowds of tourists as the more popular beaches and offers some of the best ocean views on the island.
Kolymbithres: The most picturesque beach in Paros, Kolymbithres is absolutely stunning with clear waters, golden beaches and large smooth rock formations along the shoreline.
