Eating

Where to Eat in Paros: Stilvi

Mouth-watering beef tataki, deliciously fresh tuna tartare, flavour-bursting tabouleh salad, delicately seared tuna steaks . . . the list goes on. To put it simply, Stilvi serves up some of the very best Mediterranean cuisine on Paros. Located in Naoussa, the romantic restaurant is tucked away behind a large wall sheltering guests from the bustle of the surrounding village. The outside dining yard is decorated with a simple white and neutral palette and raw natural materials to create a rustic-chic look that encourages a relaxed and lively atmosphere. Appropriately named after the Greek word for the ‘glowing and twinkling of the stars’, at Stilvi you can enjoy cocktails as the sun goes down before tucking into a delicious meal under a canopy of stars in the night sky.

Best Restaurants in Paros

Mario’s: A reservation at this Paros favourite is a must. Situated in the heart of the port, at Mario’s the friendly servers ask you to choose from the fresh fish that has been delivered that day before grilling your selection to order.

Giacomo: Located right on the water’s edge just outside of the port in Naoussa, this is an ideal casual restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious fresh seafood lunch with a view.

Barbarossa: Nestled in the bustle of the port, this is an outstanding seafood restaurant serving freshly caught seafood. After dinner, head to the opposite side of the port where you’ll find their cocktail bar. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to nab the only table on the private upstairs terrace looking onto the town below.

Santé: Tucked away down one of the narrow side streets you will find Santé, a locally loved hole-in-the-wall cocktail bar serving its own adventurous cocktail inventions – you can’t leave without trying the Spicy Lady cocktail!

Methystra: A cool and casual café and cocktail bar with a team of laid-back friendly staff. Good drinks, great atmosphere.

Seeing

What to do in Paros: Lefkes

The first capital of Paros, Lefkes is a green mountainous village in the centre of the island that is known for its winding narrow streets, neoclassical buildings and strong sense traditional culture that can be felt on every corner. With cars forbidden inside the village, it’s easy to get swept away to simpler times here as you wander the labyrinth of paths and hear the symphony of birds and cicadas coming from the verdurous surroundings. From the House of Literature to the Church of Agia Triada, there are many cultural institutions to discover here as well as colourful arts, crafts and jewellery stores that line Ramnos, the main street of Lefkes. One very special place that you’ll find here is Marina G. Triantafyllou’s studio. Having grown up in the village, the artist has a real affinity with Lefkes and translates this through the incredible artwork she makes predominately from marble. At her studio, you can watch as she works her magic, buy a piece to bring home with you or if you’d like to try your hand at the craft, our iMBARC booking team would be delighted to organise a carving workshop for you.
